(The Hare and the Hedgehog)
Read this tale aloud, or read along with your little one. Sentences are short and the words are simple.
Once a hare met a hedgehog. The hare said: I am so fast. The hedgehog said: I am too.
Let us race. The hedgehog went home. He said to his wife: go to the other end.
Run when I run. They raced. The hare ran fast.
He saw the hedgehog at the end. He ran back. He saw him again.
He ran again. He fell down. He was tired.
He died. The hedgehog won. So do not run too much.
Stay home and be happy.
