Read this tale aloud, or read along with your little one. Sentences are short and the words are simple.
Once there was a wild boar. A king said: who kills it gets the princess. Two brothers went.
The older one killed the boar. The younger one was there too. The older one said: I will hide you.
He hid him in the river. A little dwarf saw him. The dwarf sang: bone in the water.
The king heard. He went to the river. The bone sang louder.
The king looked in the water. He saw the body. He took the brother out.
He asked: who did this? The dwarf said: the older brother. The king punished him.
The younger brother lived happily ever after.
