Die Kristallkugel

Read this tale aloud, or read along with your little one. Sentences are short and the words are simple.

Once there were three brothers. They wanted to find their father. They went out.

The oldest met a dwarf. He ate too much. He died.

The middle did too. The youngest met a dwarf. He was kind.

He shared his food. The dwarf gave him a ball. The ball showed the way.

He came to an iron house. Inside was a man. He was made of iron.

He had a crystal ball. He had been turned into iron. He said: bring the ball to the king.

The youngest did. The king knew his son. They were happy.

The iron son came back. He was a man again. And they lived happily ever after.
