Die sieben Raben

Read this tale aloud, or read along with your little one. Sentences are short and the words are simple.

Once a man had seven sons. He was sad. He wished for a daughter.

The children ran. The children came back. The father said: you ran.

He wished them to be ravens. A baby came. She was kind.

She heard the story. She went to find her brothers. She met a star.

The star said: go up the hill. She found a little house. Inside was a dwarf.

He was small. He said: your brothers are ravens. She said: I want to save them.

The dwarf said: seven years of silence. She did not speak. The raven came to her.

They became people again. She lived happily ever after.
