(Little Red Riding Hood)
Read this tale aloud, or read along with your little one. Sentences are short and the words are simple.
Once a little girl had a red hood. Her mother said: go to grandma. Do not talk to strangers.
The girl went. A wolf came. He said: where are you going?
The girl told him. The wolf ran fast. He came to grandma's house.
He ate her. He lay in bed. The girl came.
She said: grandma, what big ears. The wolf said: to hear you. What big eyes.
To see you. What big teeth. To eat you.
He jumped up. The girl ran. A hunter came.
He cut the wolf open. Grandma came out. They filled the wolf with stones.
He never woke up. The girl learned. Do not talk to wolves.
